Happy Halloween!!

I brought Aspen into work for the Halloween party and she played hard the entire time. Both she and the girls had a blast.
Our friends Caitlin and Brandon, that live a few houses down, have a little puppy name Jake. He is a Golden Doodle. Aspen met Jake on her second night with us, they had a rough beginning. They have become decent friends. Tonight I had them over for dinner and they were fight over a bone. I decided to bring out a second bone and asked them to sit to divide it. At the very second I said sit, both of them sat at the very same time, it was pretty funny. Then of course they both wanted the same bone, they're just like kids. We sure do have fun with them.

A visit from Alisa and Owen

My bosom buddy Alisa came to visit her family in Utah and she graced us with her presence for a night. How I wish this girl were my neighbor, I miss her dearly. Her cute little Owen is growing so quickly. When he saw Aspen for the first time he got so excited his hands were flalling, it was adorable. It was so fun to reconnect and catch up.

Move to Utah, won't you??

Aspen's First Snow

Last week we had our fist snow of the season. It didn't last long but it was beautiful to wake up to. Aspen is always happy and I don't think she noticed much of a differnce.
It was fun to see the white fluffy stuff on her nose.

Aspen and the Milk Bottle

Boxes, boxes and MORE boxes

We finally got bedroom furniture and it's beautiful!! We LOVE it and are so grateful!! It took a while to set up, due to all of the gigantic boxes. These are pictures of just the setting up.... I'll post pics of it all set up soon. And of course every minute is play time to Aspen, she LOVED all of the boxes.

I'm growing big and strong

Aspen is no longer a baby, she has hit her terrible twos. She is now 3 months old and 25+ pounds. She has learned to sit, jump, go to her kennel and not bite. She's making huge progress!! She loves being any where we are and usually right at our feet. Her naughty tricks are barking at us when we tell her no, prancing away when she finds an unattended shoe or sock, chewing toilet paper and whining profusely while anyone eats at the table. And with all that said, we are sooooo glad we got her. We just LOVE OUR PUPPY! She is always happy to see us and always wants to play, unless she is sleeping of course.

If I could figure out how to post a video I would, because we have some cute ones. Any help?

The Perfect Day

On Friday, Jon and I went on a 4 hour trail ride on horseback with some of my colleagues and their family. It was so fun!! Jon usually works Fridays and was able to get it off, I let one of the girls at work play with Aspen while we were gone and everything worked out perfectly. I love fall, it's beautiful here in Utah, it's the perfect time to be outside.

We went up Payson canyon and the colors were really pretty, it seemed to be a little more dry then in years past but it was still beautiful. We got on the horses around 12:30 and got back around 4:30. It was like reliving my childhood, I couldn't have been happier. It was so fun to experience it with Jon too. He too loves horses and we would love to have some property and horses, but those ideas will stay only as dreams for a while.

I rode Chip a sweet 4 year old who was a little nervous about being on the trail, we trotted a good portion of the way because he was a little jittery. Poor guy, when we got him out of the trailer he was already sweating bullets. He calmed down a little before lunch and then was ready to go again. Jon rode Sam, a great trial horse. He was startled by anything and was calming for poor Chipper. Jon did great, he looked the part too with his cowboy boots, hat and buckle. I just need to get him a pair of tight wranglers:).
This is Patti, she is the Clinical Director at MLA and just a gem.
A beautiful view.

Aren't the Aspen beautiful!!

He's my hot cowboy!!
We got back and picked up Aspen who was happy as a Lark because she was well taken care of. We went home, Aspen went to bed because she was so exhausted and Jon and I went swimming. It was just wonderful!! I love when we get to spend an entire day off together, it's like Christmas to me. It was the perfect day.

Weekend with Mom

The weekend before we got Aspen, my mom came in town. It was sooooo fun to have her here!! It was fun not to worry about wedding stuff, which is all we did the last couple of times she came out and just play! Unfortunately, I had to work during the day, but we did get to do fun things at night and during the weekend. Saturday was the funnest day... I took her to the Farmer's Market down in Spanish Fork where we got fresh corn, peppers, cucumbers, herbs and sweet sweet peaches. We went to 2 different antique stores then went up to South Jordan to Material Girl, an awesome Quilt shop. I picked out fabric for pillows for our couch. Mom whipped them up while I was at work during the day and they turned out so well. She is the best. On Sunday we tried making some GF cookies but something didn't go right, it was a pan of cookie, we laughed so hard!

Didn't she do such a good job!

On Sunday, we also took a drive up Provo Canyon to see the fall leaves.

The pan of cookie, haha! Oops.
Thanks for coming mom!!
